Behind Closed Doors

One might say I have a bit of a door fetish. I really love architecture and love nothing more than a good door. So this being said, I devoted week 30 to this love...

.i see a red door and i want it painted black.

may I have the key please?
Every doorway has a story.

Board Walks.&.Bike Rides

Week 28 in the world of Operation Narwhal was devoted to one of my favorite modes of transportations- bicycles! and not just any bikes, beach cruisers :) If you have ever spent any time at the Jersey shore, it becomes obvious fairly quickly that beach culture and bikes go hand and hand quite nicely.

Week 29 was inspired by an evening spent on the docks of the local marina.  Each boat had its own plank, and each plank was unique in some way. So the week features a mix of some of those planks as well as other shots of the awesome texture that is woodgrain.

2 weeks later...

Well due to technical difficulties and life i.ve been out of blogging commission for about 2 weeks now so i.m thinking it.s definitely about time for an update from Operation Narwhal.
Week 26 was a display of my favorite pieces from my camera collection. It also allowed for me to develop my skills with my new external flash. Definitely some of my favorites from my recent work.

Only the Ocean

I think I could live happily just about anywhere in the world as long as there was a beach close at hand. The beach is my refuge and my home and I couldn.t imagine life without it.

all these lines will all be erased soon
They go out with the tide
Then come back with the waves
the place we love most
the sea is just a wetter version of the sky.
it.s all a bit hazy in the midst of it
swing life away
The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him

Meet the Family

Last weekend my siblings and I took some surprise photos for my mums birthday. The surprise went of without a hitch and she was a wee bit overjoyed at the results. Of course, the whole thing prompted a family themed week. So, without further delay, meet the family:

meet the parents, a dynamic duo ♥

meet the kids: the fantastic four

meet the eldest, special K

meet the sister.in.law, a lovely addition

meet the sister, the family historian

meet the younger.older.brother, purchased off e.bay

it was lovely to meet you

Sunshine & A Cloudy Day

Last weekend was fairly busy, filled with long drives, secret schemes, and of course, plenty of photographs. On Friday though, I was privileged to photograph the wedding of Thomas & Samantha Myers. It was small and simple, but sometimes simplicity lends itself to the best pictures.
